How to Make an Office Emergency Kit

This Monday I started back to work. Now I am riding the train into New York City everyday again. When you’re at work and far from home it’s a good idea to put together an emergency kit.  In your kit you can put all the things you would want or need when you are in a jam. Here’s a quick list of ideas.

  • Band-aids
  • Advil, Tylenol, or Aspirin
  • Cold Medicine
  • Cough Drops
  • Contact Solution
  • Spare Contact
  • Nail File
  • Nail Clippers
  • Elastic Hair Tie
  • Feminine Products
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Tea Bags – Ginger tea for an upset stomach
  • Tums or Pepto-bismol Tablets
  • Packet of crackers
  • Safety Pins
  • Needle and Thread
  • Gum / Mints
  • Lip balm

Find a nice pouch to keep everything in and keep it in a drawer. This way if you start feeling sick or find yourself in a sticky situation, you’ve got it covered!

Do you have an emergency kit? Do you keep one at your desk or in your car? I’d love to hear your tips!
