Farmers’ Market Finds

This weekend we went to the farmer’s market for Blueberry Week. Something that we learned quickly that you need to get to the market early for the best food. This Saturday we left early and I was amazed at the variety of foods. I tried not to get too many things that I won’t be able to prepare and eat in a week. Steve and I were both excited to see that our farmer’s market has crepes. So of course we had to have some!

It was hard to choose but after much deliberation, I decided on the Nutella and Strawberries crepe.

The crepes were very good and my coffee hit the spot! After we had our breakfast, we went out to get our produce.

I bought cucumbers to make pickles. I just put them into jars today, so as long as they turn out, you can expect a recipe next week. 🙂 I’m really excited to see how they turn out.

It was blueberry week so of course I had to buy blueberries! They are delicious. I ate a pint today. 🙂 We bought 4 pints, so I don’t know how long these little guys are going to last.

I also bought a pound of string beans. I am planning on steaming them up with a little olive oil.

That’s what picked up this weekend. Do you have a farmer’s market that you visit? What fruits and veggies have you found?
