The difference between a dream and a goal is an action plan. Making the dream a reality is much more accessible when you have a goal and plan.
If you’re looking to lose weight, save money, or learn a new skill you have to set a goal. It doesn’t have to be a hard deadline, your goal can and should be flexible. What’s important is that you have one, you identified it, and you’re working toward it.
Do this by sitting down and writing out what you’d like to accomplish. Instead of saying “I’d like to look good in my bathing suit” say “I’d like to lose 10 pounds and focus on toning my muscles”. Now you are able to figure out the calories needed to stay on track and focus on exercises that will tone muscles.
The mind is very powerful, if you visualize yourself on the beach because you’ve saved enough for your trip, you can do it! Apply this thinking to everything in life. Visualize yourself in a new job, hitting the game winning home run, designing your new home, whatever you dream you can do.
