    How to Soak Fruits & Vegetables

    If you think buying organic is too expensive for your budget this method will clean fruits and vegetables. Soaking your produce helps to freshen the food, clean out the dirt, pesticide residues, and any bugs. Ingredients: 1/4 Cup Vinegar 2 Tablespoons salt Water Method: Fill your sink 1/4 full with cold water. Add vinegar and salt. Swish water with your hand until your salt has dissolved. Add vegetables and fruit. Dunk the pieces and rotate them. Soak for 30 minutes to an hour. Remove each piece and give a gentle scrub with a brush or towel and rinse with fresh water.     If you want to make someone else’s day better, there is something that you can do that is free and available at any time. It’s easy! Smile! Nothing brightens a day quicker than smiling. It can be anyone. Smile at a coworker, your spouse, children, a stranger, the clerk at a store, your dog or to yourself. Take a look at these happy faces.     How to Trap Fruit Flies

      On these hot humid days fruit flies can pop up quickly. They can be quite a nuisance. There is a pretty easy and quick way to trap them. Small bowl Balsamic vinegar Cling wrap Small knife Place a bit of vinegar in the bowl. Tightly cover with cling wrap. It should be very smooth. With the knife, poke tiny holes in the cling wrap. Set it out on the counter. This will allow the flies to find their way into the bowl but they will not find their way out.
