How To Make a Quick Breakfast

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Eating a healthy breakfast doesn’t have to take a long time. This is a quick breakfast to throw together before running out the door for work. I love it. This is from a recipe in Alicia Silverstone’s book The Kind Diet.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal


  • 1 Cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 Apple, chopped
  • 3 Shakes cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon dates
  • 1 Tablespoon walnuts
  • 1 Teaspoon maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1 1/2 Cups water

Combine ingredients in a thermos or a travel bowl. Allow everything to mix and the oatmeal to cook, the length of your commute. When you get to your desk your oatmeal is ready to go!
